CMA Exhibition 'En Sintonía' (In Tune)
Avellaneda Municipal Art Center (CMA) – Curated by Rodrigo Alonso.
First Group
July 4 to August 1 | Green Room
"If there is one defining characteristic of contemporary art, it is the absence of fixed production canons, compositional models, privileged techniques, or predictable imagery. The diversity that fuels it—and constitutes its most fundamental value—calls for approaches that are curious, open, and, above all, free from prejudice.
This exhibition is an exploration of that contemporary spirit. The works gathered here come from artists working across multiple disciplines, in formats ranging from the miniature to the monumental, and through approaches that either engage in dialogue with tradition or question and challenge it. There is no dominant aesthetic or singular direction here; instead, there are voices, each speaking from its own unique sensibility.
Yet, those who tour the exhibition will discover that this difference creates resonance rather than fragmentation. Much like in music—where instruments with contrasting timbres can create a single harmony—these works (diverse in form, material, and intent) find a relationship among themselves that integrates and amplifies them. This is what the title *En sintonía* (In Tune) alludes to: not uniformity, but a profound accord between parts that recognize one another without needing to look alike.
The partnership behind this exhibition brings together artists who share a conviction that transcends any common aesthetic: the belief that art is a space of freedom, and that this freedom is best exercised in the company of others. We invite you to experience this exhibition with the same openness with which it was conceived—ready to be surprised, to embrace uncertainty, and to discover an unexpected harmony within seemingly disparate elements."
